The Chevy Camaro, packing an option of a small block 6litre V8 engine delivering 400 horsepower (298kW) at the flywheel give this automotive masterpiece enough grunt to match its flared design. Coupled with a six speed manual transmission and a balanced rear-wheel drive chassis designed from the offices at Fishermans Bend, Melbourne complete the piece. So what has happened to this Camaro?

The Camaro as pictured at the Melbourne Motor Show (2007) was a centerpiece of the show, with the final production models changing only slightly. It's a great feat by Aussie's to engineer this car, which is manufactured by the Canadians and then sold in North America (since the first quarter of 2009). Though you might see a few left-hand-drive models kicking about on Australian roads.

With some luck and enough demonstrated enthusiasm, we may see factory import Camaro's in Australia in the future.
