Well the New Year is well and truly here and its business as usual at Everything Two Wheels. Over the break I managed to do something that I don’t get a chance to do that often – go motorbike riding. Believe it or not I don’t get that much of a chance to go riding for pleasure. I’m always too busy servicing your bikes and riding them instead of my own. But after Santa brought me a brand new Honda DN01 for Christmas I just didn’t have an excuse to not get out there and ride, and before I knew it I was on the ferry and off to do a lap of Tasmania. In a previous blog post I said there was something about these DN01’s that I really liked and the more I ride this bike the more I like it. Looks wise the DN-01 stands out like the testicles of an old English bull dog. I've never owned a bike before where people crossing the street in front of me and stop and stare with a look of “wow - nice bike” on their face. On the second day of owning the DN01 two of the “ladies” from the local “gentlemen’s club” who just happened to be standing outside having a cigarette break between shows beckoned me over from the traffic lights where I was stopped to ask about the bike. I found it really hard to explain to the ladies the features of the DN01 like ABS linked brakes, hydrostatic automatic transmission with three different drive modes, 190 section rear tyre, that they come in a choice of metallic black or candy red and have 2 years unlimited warranty while their 36DD boobs in silver sequined costumes were doing laps of the bike. Now I think of it I’ve never owned a bike before that’s gotten me a free lap dance either. Like I keep saying there’s something about the DN01 that just does it for me. Happy New year!
