We set out on our trip to the Flinders Ranges with our travel buddies Ant & Jane. We had scooted past the Flinders on a number of occasions on our way through to the Simpson or the Kimberley. Everytime we did, we would get on the radio & tell Ant & Jane that one day we'll have to explore the Flinders. So here we are.

We left Melbourne early (6am) & drove to Renmark where we stocked up on our fruit & vegetables (can't take fruit & some vegetables through from Victoria to South Australia). Our first night's camp was at Chowilla Game Reserve.

After a great first night out we headed north through the Dangalli National Park to Yunta for re-fueling. We stopped at the Littra House (Ruin) at Lake Littra. There are so many interesting places to stop & explore. We had our morning tea at a deserted outpost station, which we thought was probably used during mustering season. The scenery from Yunta to Lake Fromme is breathtaking. The Ranges seem to draw you in & I couldn't wait to explore the northern region.
