The Variety 4WD Adventure is coming and Variety is urging all 4x4 owners and enthusiasts to join them on this year’s “Gong to Gong” adventure.

The brainchild of Variety - the Children’s Charity, to create a real adventure for like-minded 4WD owners with the feel good benefit of raising much needed funds for kids in need, the 4WD Adventure will celebrate its seventh year in 2012.

This year, the Variety 4WD Adventure will take place over six days, from November 12th to 17th, and will cover 1,489 kilometres.  The Adventure is a “Gong to Gong” experience, starting in Wollongong and travelling through Goulburn, Cooma, Orbost, Eden and Mogo, before finishing up in the other ‘Gong’ - Gerrigong.

Covering a variety of terrain, the Variety 4WD Charity Adventure is the ultimate 4WD holiday, promising beach runs, bush trails, creek crossings, fabulous scenery, exceptional food and wine, resort style accommodation and a unique opportunity to form new found friendships.

For those daunted by the prospect of a big off-road trip, the good news is that the Variety 4WD Adventure is a ‘turn-key’ event, meaning that beyond providing your own suitable vehicle, everything is done for you. This makes the Adventure ideal for 4x4 owners who are not confident venturing on off-road, un-assisted drives themselves.  

The all-inclusive cost of $6,350 for two people includes a $3,000 fully tax deductible donation to Variety, to purchase urgently needed equipment for Australia’s special needs children. The entry fee covers all accommodation, official meals, entertainment, merchandise, “happy hour” gatherings and assistance from Variety’s skilled team of event officials including 4x4 experts and mechanical support personnel.

Participants are encouraged to begin fundraising in advance of the Adventure and get their family, friends and work colleagues involved.
