Toyota has launched a new special edition LandCruiser 200 Series – the ‘Altitude’ - with over $4,000 worth of features over and above the GXL model grade on which it is based.

Topping the list of added features are 18-inch alloy wheels (from the VX/Sahara model), wrapped in 285/60R18 tyres. Other external features include roof rails and identifying ‘Altitude’ badging.

Inside, the Altitude features a black leather-accented interior, premium steering wheel, premium gearshift knob, cooler box (a feature traditionally reserved for top-of-the-range Sahara), and power-operated driver and front-passenger seats with height adjustment.

The Altitude is powered by LandCruiser’s twin-turbo V8 diesel engine, matched to an electronically-controlled automatic transmission.

Five exterior colours are offered - Crystal Pearl, Eclipse Black, Silver Pearl, Graphite and Shimmer. Crystal Pearl and Eclipse Black were previously reserved for VX and Sahara model grades.

The recommended retail price of the LandCruiser 200 Series Altitude is $90,490 compared with $88,490 for turbo-diesel GXL.
