Just 4x4s 24/07/2012
Range Rover’s Evoque recently added to its string of 100+ international awards with a gong at the Australian International Design Awards. The Evoque took out the 2012 Design Award Best in Category - Automotive & Transport at the AIDA awards ceremony in Sydney.
The Evoque beat out Audi’s Q3 and Hyundai’s new Veloster in the category, with AIDA judges commenting that “The Evoque is very good value considering exceptional fit, finish and features. A bold form that is turning heads.”
David Blackhall, Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific Managing Director, said: “We are honoured that the Range Rover Evoque has won this prestigious award. This prestigious accolade recognizes the overwhelmingly positive response that we have received to the Evoque's bold and dramatic design, and this is further vindicated by the success in the marketplace.”
To date, the Evoque has also been a sales success for Land Rover Australia, taking market leadership in the SUV Medium up-to-$60K segment with 1,441 units sold so far in the 2012 calendar year.
