The Ton Up Boys motorcycle club proudly present ‘Ride With The Rockers 2012’ on Sunday, October 7th. This year’s ride marks the 16th consecutive annual rally for the Ton Up Boys since the club was established since the early ‘90s.

The annual ride is a family-friendly event that celebrates the motorcycling heritage and sub-culture of the ’50s and ’60s, while also paying homage to the ACE café and the UK’s annual Rockers Ride.

The Ton Up Boys invite all like-minded enthusiasts of classic bikes, scooters and the ’50s rocker sub-culture to join them on the ride, which kicks off from 8.15AM at Harry Café De Wheels, Tempe. The casual group ride will head South at 9:00AM, via the old Princes Hwy, the Natio and the Coast Rd loop. Maps and details will be issued on the day. Ride at your own pace and own risk.

Following the return, the day will continue with an after-ride gathering and informal show ‘n’ shine, presented by Barfly Promotions, at the University of Sydney’s Manning Bar & Manning House (Manning Rd, Camperdown).

Held in conjunction with the ‘Sydney Rock’n’Roll & Alternative Markets’, entry to the after-ride is by gold coin donation, and will feature bands, special guest DJ’s, food stalls, 50+ special interest and nostalgic stalls, plus the new Tiki Bar Courtyard, as well as a kids activity area.
