Seller's Description
MV Agusta’s ideology demands each new model be built to a higher specification than its precursor, and it’s this desire for perfection that led to the union of MV and the late, great, Ayrton Senna. MV president Claudio Castiglioni and Ayrton were close friends, and as a tribute to that friendship Claudio, working together with the Senna foundation, developed the blueprint for what would become a very limited production of the beautiful F4 750 Senna. Only two Senna editions were produced, the first released in 2002, then in 2006 the 1000cc edition; both editions were significantly different to all other F4’s. The Senna benefited from a much higher build specification and premium quality componentry, thus ensuring greater rider enjoyment and fulfilling the objective of both parties. Based upon the higher-spec SPR version, each Senna featured the same more powerful engine and stiffer chassis, with a special black-and-red colour scheme and silver numbered plaque. Benefiting from better internal components, stronger pistons and lightened crankshaft, the SPR engine has a higher RPM ceiling producing an impressive 109kW (146bhp). Externally that better quality continues with many chassis parts being replaced with lighter carbon-fibre, lighter alloys and magnesium. Other unique features include massive no-expense-spared 49mm diameter Ti-Nitride coated Showa forks with adjustable rebound/compression/preload, and a massive 40mm diameter quick-release axel. The ``drop-out`` axle allows front wheel removal with the release of the hinged retaining caps at the bottom of each fork leg. This excellence of design typifies the mutual desire of MV Agusta and the Senna Foundation to honour the Ayrton Senna legend, and all proceeds from the original sales were donated to the Senna Foundation, which still today cares for impoverished children in Brazil. Whilst the F4 Senna is a tribute to a legend, this particular example is also owned by a legend; Australia’s own multiple WSBK & AMA Champion Troy Corser. Troy received this F4 from Cagiva in March 2002, and as photos show has been part of Troy’s private collection. Retained in showroom original condition thanks to being parked in a custom-made humidifier, this is most probably the most original F4 Senna any collector will find. The bike has only 215k’s on the clock and is arguably the most original example of the limited build of 300 worldwide. This special bike is sold with a signed letter of authenticity, as well as a framed copy for display purposes, ensuring forever that build number 123 was supplied to Troy Corser.
