Suzuki has released an updated version of their supermotard-inspired DR-Z400SM, with the MY18 version getting styling makeovers, but no mechanical changes.
The DR-Z400SM features an all-new solid black colour scheme for 2018, with gold-anodised Excel rims adding a bit of bling.
The latest DR-Z400SM also features adjustable (compression and rebound) suspension at both ends, plus a big 310mm front brake disc and 240mm rear disc. Other notable features include a Renthal ‘Fatbar’ handlebar and slider protectors on both axles.
Powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-stroke single-cylinder engine, the 400SM is LAMS-approved and road-legal. The engine offers a good spread of power and plenty of torque, and is matched to a 5-speed transmission.
The MY18 DR-Z400SM models is now available from Suzuki dealers (along with a new DR-Z400E for 2018), priced at $9,990 ride away – unchanged from 2017.
