Built in 1979 to commemorate ‘Mike the Bike's’ famous Isle of Mann TT victory, the early 79/80 models are by far the most sought after and rarest of all MHR's. This bike was first registered in Austria in January 1980, and has had only two owners prior to being purchased by RaiderMoto. First sold by MotorRad Austria, then it passed to a private collector in the UK where it sat on display from 1984 until acquired by us. The mileage is genuine as are the original purchase receipts and ownership transfer papers, this is a very rare motorcycle that is guaranteed to increase in value. First edition MHR's are now commanding between 35 and 40kGBP (circa 80kAUD + shipping). This bike is available in as-is condition but is scheduled for a concourse renovation after which it will return to market with a minimum 80k asking price. In typical Ducati fashion, Pierre Terblanche’s Sport Classic range was a decade too early, as was his equally unpopular 999, which today sells for more than they were new. If Ducati released the Sport Classic in 2016 they would have sold faster than condoms at the gay mardi-gra, but unfortunately they didn’t, and in 2006 the world just wasn’t into the retro styling that has captivated the globe in the last few years. Around 2010, when a Classic could be had for not much above 6-8k, we were telling anyone who’d listen that they should grab one and throw a blanket over it for a few years; those that listened have a smile you’d need sandpaper to remove! Just like the 999, the Classic models have now become very stylish and desirable; their values increase every year and will continue to do so as the relatively low production that lasted only couple of years dictates this model will suffer the fiscal effects of supply & demand. This beautiful example has travelled only 15,500k’s, is a genuine one owner, purchased locally (Coffs Harbour) and maintained with zealous attention and scant regard for cost. The bike enjoys a considerable array of Ducati accessories - Adriani fork inserts, carbon hugger, Ducati Performance tank cover & bag, Ventura rack, Termi pipe, Paul Smart fairing, Stainless Steel Spokes and more. Prior to selling this bike has undergone a full service, new belts, new battery, all the filters and fluids renewed. Owner’s log & hand books included as are full account of services and accessories purchased. Manufactured in BSA’s Birmingham factory, the W34-9 was the famous marque’s highest spec model of the period, and its creation and development would lead the company to building the now famous ‘Gold Star’; the ultimate desire of genuine road-racing competitors and Ton-up Ace Café racers alike. Sporting higher compression, racing camshaft and up-swept exhaust, the 500cc OHV engine produced a whopping 54hp (40kw) and weighed in at 162kg. With a top speed of 137kph the blue Star saw much success in competition and was only produced between 1932 and 1935. In 1937 the model morphed into the Empire Star and within a year that model had developed into the Gold Star. As the photos depict, this BSA W34-9 Blue Star is in superb condition and has correct numbers. The bike is with our Dutch partner and available for immediate purchase. This Ducati 250 Mk3 has undergone a full chassis and engine refurbishment consuming almost 200 hours. Work included replacement of age effect items with NOS, re-wiring the headlight switching & lighting assemblies, Stainless Steel spokes, every chrome part striped and re-chromed, rewiring the stator and replacing the fault-prone 6v charging system with Japanese components, and much, much more. Hundreds of high-res pictures detail everything that was done in the rebuild, and invoices for parts and labour will show that over 17k AUD was spent guaranteeing nothing was spared in returning this bike to its present spectacular condition. Presently located in New York, the advertised price excludes shipping & arrival charges. In June 2016 an unrestored 1967 Mk1 sold at Classic Cycles in Connecticut for approximately 27kUSD (circa 37.5kAUD + shipping etc). With international buyers determining the real values of collectible bikes, in the years ahead this beautiful little Mk3 will have proven good buying given there is absolutely nothing to spend; best money buys best bikes. The RY1.1 was our first big-bore Custom. Based on the Manfred Rau designed frame, the RY1.1 uses the Yamaha FJ1100 power plant, an engine famously enjoyed for its bountiful torque & silky smooth horsepower. The RY1.1 is a fabulous combination of form and function, light and very agile, it sticks to the road well and rides bumps without the usual misgivings of most custom bikes. Entirely hand-built by the Raidermoto team, this bike made its début at the Melbourne Bike Expo and is fully road legal and ready to abuse. The RY1.1 should prove an ultimate Cafe Racer as well as benefit from being a sound investment. Genuine Rau’s are almost impossible to find today, let alone one built to this standard. As a racing machine, the famed Fabio Taglioni, aka ‘Dr. T’, designed TT2 was an exercise in absolute minimalism. The chrome-moly trellis frame weighed only 7kg, yet the TT2 was considered the most stable, predicable handling bike of the era. With a completed kerb weight of only 148kg it included a full charging system, instruments, and lead-acid battery large enough to operate the oem electric starter motor. All of these items were required under the Italian racing championship regulations, a class that mirrored the FIM F2 world championship rules, and the category for which the bike was ultimately created for, and subsequently won. In its debut year the tiny TT2 won the both Riders and Manufacturer’s Titles in the World F2 Championship with Tony Rutter, the TT2 Italian Jnr Championship with Massimo Broccoli, and Italian Endurance Championship with Carlo Perugini & Fausto Ricci. The example we offer for sale is a replica originally built by Two Wheel Classics in Warrington UK. On arrival the build quality and finishing detail left a lot to be desired and before it turned a wheel on Oz soil it was completely rebuilt by RaiderMoto and made street legal – this bike is suitable for immediate road use under club or conventional full registration. More than 130 hours went into making this a seriously fun bike to ride. Amazing power to weight ratio, a wide and linear torque curve, and super braking capability makes this a genuine giant killer. Included in the rebuild were Motogadget M-Lock & Classic-Chrono speedo that has multiple data input for temps, pressures, gear selection and much more. The Dellorto carbs were fully overhauled, re-jetted and fitted with new kits, needle & seats & RaideMoto completion gauze filters. Engine has a new stator and electronics, new cam belts & valve clearances set, we fitted new tyres, built a completely new hand-made wiring loom, fitted new DOT approved stainless braid brake lines, the entire poorly finished paint work was completely stripped and the entire bike repainted with new decals. This bike could not be built for the asking price. Two Wheel Classic sell rolling frames from around $20AUD, so by the time you buy a donor bike or engine, then build the finished bike to an equal standard you will have spent in the region of 38-40kAUD.

  • The 750 Ducati Square Case Supersport are among the rarest of all Ducati bevels manufactured. Only 100 750 SS’s were manufactured for 1977 and many of those were raced and have since disappeared or sadly, been parted out. History is offered as this particular example being sold new from the importer/distributor in Brisbane, Australia, and then changing hands circa 1990 and relocated to Darwin, the capital of Australia’s Norther Territory. The second owner used the bike as a daily rider and pictures on hand show the bike’s condition when sold to the current owner. In 2011 it was acquired by the current owner who commissioned a Melbourne based motorcycle shop to restore the bike. Whilst the appearance and finish is beautiful, many items are period incorrect and require changing if authenticity is to be achieved. Having only two previous owners, and invoices on hand to show a ‘no expense spared’ restoration, this is a very rare bike that will continue to escalate in value, despite its relatively minor flaws in respect to original 77 build specification. The current owner is prepared to undertake correcting the minor items if required, subject to sales negotiation. The 750F1 was released in 1985 and its style and appearance was a major departure from what Ducati was producing in the years earlier; it became the first representation of how Ducati’s would look in the years ahead. It was a brave time for Ducati, as they introduced many avant-garde innovations. The F1 was the first production Ducati to use the minimalistic Verlicchi frame, mono-shock rear suspension, fully floating disc brakes front and rear, an alloy fuel tank, a remote oil cooler, and the first ever Ducati to use a two into one exhaust system. It was also the most expensive production Ducati model ever produced, costing in excess of $10,000 AUD in 1985! To real riders the F1 was hugely desirable, but cost prohibitive. For the everyday rider it was too spartan, too narrow, and too small if you were any more than 180cm tall – it was a racer’s racer!! Today the F1 is highly desirable amongst collectors and true Ducatisti who acknowledge the F1 as the defining model that ushered in the future direction of Ducati. This particular example if in very original condition, with correct patina and low k’s. It has a couple of period decals, which can be removed if required, but it has been sitting in a private collection for over a decade. If intending to ride it will need a general service & fluids change. The Honda XLV750R is regarded as the first dual-purpose motorcycle, manufactured from 1983 to 1986, the XLV750R was forerunner to what is now the world’s biggest selling range of motorcycle. The prototype was released at the Paris Motor Show in October 1982. The XLV was initially intended only for the European market, but from 85 it was also sold in Australia and New Zealand, countries ideally suited to the bike’s dual use (road/off-road). At start of production, Honda had HRC build 500 ``Limited Edition`` models, which are identified by a golden metal badge attached to the right side of the auxiliary frame (below the seat). Limited Edition models also received a perforated front brake disc rotor. The XLV750R (Honda type designation: RD01) was also Honda's first dual-sport bike to not use the traditional single or parallel cylinder engines, but rather an air-/oil-cooled V-twin engine with hydraulic valve tappets and shaft drive. Those two construction features make the XLV a very low maintenance motorcycle. Other technical highlights worth noting, and quite Avant-garde for the time, were introduction of a dry sump lubrication system (with the main frame acting as an oil tank); three valve cylinder heads (two inlet valves / one exhaust valve) using two spark plugs per cylinder, and the crankshaft utilised off-set pins. The engine proved super reliable and capable of use in extreme conditions. This particular Limited Edition model is number 318 of 500, is patina perfect and traveled only 19,000k’s. The engine runs beautifully, the bikes rides smooth and requires no work. There’s a couple of minor scuffs and a small dent on the tank, but otherwise in perfect condition and appearance. The 900 S2 was introduced in 1983 to replace the 900SS. Buyers of the first model were offered a choice of electric or kick start, but not both, but most of those found surviving today sport the electric leg. The 84 S2 and MHR Mk4 were virtually identical in frame and engine, and both received the much needed upgraded gearbox which finally put an end those ongoing gearbox gremlins which afflicted many SS’s. The S2 and MHR were the last ever 900ss Bevel Ducati’s to be produced. This patina perfect example is Australian delivered, had only 2 previous owners, and travelled only a fraction over 4,000k’s from new. The majority of S2’s were painted black/orange, making this red/white example extremely rare. A search on-line will reveal very rough S2’s selling for 20 to 25k USD, making this spectacularly original example fantastic value. This bike is unmolested with exception to removal of its oem air filters which decimated mid-range performance and acceleration.
