SN 2783 1956 AUSTIN HEALEY 100/4 BN2 ROADSTER RESTORE, RENOVATE OR RE-ENGINEER? Following in the footsteps of the sensational launch of the original Austin Healey 100 BN1, in 1955 the BN2 arrived with upgrades to the original design including a stronger, 5 stud rear axle and eagerly anticipated four speed with overdrive gearbox, replacing the original 100’s three speed with overdrive unit. The rarest and most highly sought after of all the 100 models, this BN2 is offered as an excellent foundation for a renovation or restoration project, without RWC. Or perhaps a V8 conversion? Currently fitted with a Datsun Fairlady Sport engine and five speed gearbox the car drives quite nicely. The conversion can easily be reversed and the correct specification Austin Healey engine and gearbox are available separately at extra cost.
