1973 CHRYSLER CHARGER XL VJ Vj charger XL 265 Hemi engine, 4 speed Borg Warner gearbox. Full registration. Looks greats, drives great. Car was originally a 245 Hemi. This car has had most of the work performed by ACE. Mechanical s in Taree, by a licensed mechanic who has specialised in Australian Chryslers / Valiants a for many years. With all official log books, owner’s manual, certificate of authenticity signed by Peter Brock and a CD of photos of Peter Brock with the vehicle when the Brock enhancements had been completed. The vehicle is recognized by the HSV club as a HDT vehicle. his vehicle was ordered brand new from Madill Holden group on the Sunshine Coast, arrangements had been made through Derek Bode from Team Brock and Greg Stevenson from Monaro Performance Centre to have the Brock enhancements carried out on the vehicle. These enhancements consisted of a full group 3 prep with additional T4 upgrades to accurately represent the competition T4 Targa car campaigned by Peter Brock. The vehicle is brand new in Fusion Gold it is a 2005 VZ Series 2 CV8 Tasman Targa Monaro the last model in the Monaro range to ever be made. Not only the last model but the colour “Fusion Gold” was Holden’s hero colour for that model and was used to celebrate the last edition of the 1970 HG GTS Monaro. No expense spared on this vehicle from factory it was ordered fully optioned up with leather, coloured inserts and sunroof. All steel 95% complete in very good condition. Roadsters in this condition are hard to get now and it would suit either as a hot rod or full restoration project. It needs a full restoration of all mechanical parts most of which are there. Currently the body is loosely bolted together and needs aligning and either steeling out or a wooden body frame fitted. It has all the usual jewellery items including headlights, horn, dash panel, full instrument panel and, very hard to get these days, a set of original hood irons and rear window frame. 5 good wheels and tyres. It has rust in one cowl panel, one rear corner, some minor rust on inside edge of rear guards and top flat part of valance panels and the unseen inside lower edge of one door. Boot lid has some pin holing. Patch panels are readily available for all these repairs. It also needs one rear wheel arch replacement panel (Have two new ones not fitted). The engine is out of the car for rebuilding and there is a spare parts engine also (engine trolleys not included) plus assorted spares and it has a 30's V8 front cross member fitted but not fixed in. Main items missing are seats, starter motor and exhaust system. Inspection recommended. Car sold as is, with purchaser satisfied as to condition and suitability.
