Seller's Description
Jeff Gransden motors built two replicas of Australian Grand Prix cars back in the 80s. One was this car, a 1937 Ford V8 Indy Special. Both cars were built on narrowed Ford chassis and were fitted with aluminium sports bodies built by the Elfin Sports car factory in SA. The engines of both cars were 5 litre Ford Mercury, ported and polished with shaved heads and mild cam plus Ford twin carbies. They had 3 speed close ratio gearboxes. The cars produced 125 bhp and had top speed of 180 mph. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of Australian motoring history.
