Delahaye have a rich and successful pedigree as one of the first vehicle manufacturers in existence having built their first model in 1894. Throughout pre WWI and the inter-war period of the 1920s and 1930s, Delahaye cemented their marque on the racing circuit after many notable victories including the Monte Carlo Rally and the 24 hours at Le Mans leading the brand to be dubbed “The Pearl of the French automotive industry”. The 148L was first released in 1935 based upon the existing 135 chassis. The 148L was marketed as a luxury limousine as the model saw the wheelbase stretched to 3,350mm to allow more rear legroom and smoother ride. This model utilised a 3.6L I6 engine producing 90bhp and a top speed of 133km/h. This Delahaye has been subject to a full restoration, with complete originality in mind. This vehicle has matching numbers, and great provinence.
