Seller's Description
It was brought into Western Australia approx. 7 years ago, and has had only one owner since. The car was already in restored condition when imported. The paintwork gleams on immaculate bodywork and the interior is pristine. An unusual highlight is a detailed air-brushed cartoon depicting the Road Runner and its nemesis, Wylie Coyote painted onto the boot-lid. This work was done in the USA, and is protected by a high quality clear coat. Since arriving in Western Australia, the car has been the subject of considerable work. Documentation with the car details that the front suspension has been rebuilt, including the fitment of Koni shock absorbers, new bushes, tie rods, bump stops, etc. In 2011 the engine was removed, put aside and a 440 cu-in engine (as per the factory engine upgrade option) was installed. This is a common conversion for this model. The new engine was comprehensively rebuilt to high performance specifications at a cost of over $26,000, supported by documentation with the car. Details of the Edelbrock cylinder heads and Mopar performance camshaft are in the file of information about the car, indicating the high quality of the engine. A special radiator was made for the car later. In 2013 the transmission was rebuilt at a cost of $5,600. Documentation for other work is also available. The condition of this Plymouth is especially good. It is a show-worthy car. Modifications from standard are few: primarily the engine, which can be changed back to standard should a new owner wish to. The vehicle will be sold with the 383 V8 engine which was removed from the car. If sold in Western Australia the personal number plates 69MOPAR can be sold with the car. *Note that the 383 engine which was removed for the conversion will be sold with the car.
