Seller's Description
1972 MGB MKII ROADSTER SN: 3571 VIN:YHN91895 ENG:18V582H1719 $22,500 (To be sold Unregistered & with Vic RWC) CLASSIC- RICH BURGUNDY The MG marque is one of the most recognisable names in British sporting car history having begun manufacturing cars in the 1920's. They produced both sporting oriented saloons as well as open sports roadsters. On its release in 1962 the MGB became an instant success. The new monocoque body provided a much stronger body unit assembly when compared to all previous MG's which had separate body and chassis. The modern clean and smooth styling was a departure from the classic square rigger styling of the MG “T” Series cars which were produced between 1936 and 1955 and that of the MGA in the late 1950's. This is a very tidy example of a MKII roadster, finished in its correct original colour of burgundy with a new hood and original matching black interior which are in good condition. It has been fitted with chrome wire wheels, a period style woodrim steering wheel and a late model stereo system. The original Smiths heater is an added bonus on those chilly mornings. The performance of this MGB is very good with a strong engine and 4 speed gearbox with overdrive providing both sporty performance, and comfortable cruising. Your purchase of this great looking MGB MkII will allow you to experience the thrill of owning and driving a true classic British sports car.
