Seller's Description
This is pure luxury 1970’s style when Ford ruled the large car market in Australia and the who’s who wouldn’t have been chauffeured in anything less than a 1978 P6 LTD. In fact, riding in the back had never been so good in an Australian built car. The rear seats feature their own air-conditioning ducts, ashtray, cigar lighter and power window switch, along with individual map pockets, a central armrest and amazing forward vision, courtesy of the use of narrower front seat head restraints. This is one of only 5896 produced between 1976 and 1979 making this one of the most exclusive luxury cars of the era.
If you ever thought “one day I would like to own one of these”, then this is the one for you. This is a numbers matching car that has only 180,000kms on the clock. Everything works just as it should, including the air conditioning. The transmission has been freshly serviced, and the motor repainted and new gaskets fitted.
All the hard work has been carried out professionally having undergone a fresh body restoration in the factory Sno white (not a spelling mistake). With the original matching white vinyl roof you will agree it sets the scene for this luxury model. Open the door and you smell brand new black leather seats, something you will never get tired of. All of the remaining original trim is in excellent condition.
The LTD is now ready to registered and would make a great club car with the automatic and power steering making it easy to drive for anyone and the LTD can be enjoyed all year round with the air conditioning keeping all passengers cool. Best of all it has a powerful Aussie V8 that has room for the whole family, extended family, grandchildren and mates.
I have numerous photo’s which can e-mailed through and I will be happy to answer questions you have and arrange a viewing.
The car is running on dual fuel which certainly makes it very economical to run. If however the new owner wishes to restore it to it's original specification, the gas componentry is easily removed.
Based on current Australian Classic Car prices its priced well and to sell at $22,000. Ideally looking for cash however I am happy to consider swaps and cash my way for something Australian and Classic (pre 1987) let me know what you have. No time wasters or silly offers. The car is genuine and so am I about describing it and genuine about selling it.
