Very desirable year and becoming hard to source. F100 comes with new left running board, new rear glass and window rubber. Some rust but overall a reasonable F100 to spend money on. Note roof edges and bonnet hinge area clean.
FORD PICKUP 1955 F100 307 Chev motor, turbo 350 gearbox, power steering, all Chev Impala 71 running gear, 4 link suspension, suicide doors, keyless door entry, shaved door handles, lowered, drives good, new radiator, new electrical on dash, also new dials and knobs.
This 1953 F100 had two owners from new and is in extremely original condition. It still retains the original flathead engine that has been supercharged (Camden) and three speed gearbox with working overdrive. The body has no rust and very minor dings mostly obtained during the trip from the USA. Since arriving in Australia it has been re-wired including indicators and radio, brakes and lines have been replaced including master cylinder and slave cylinders. New Cocker white walls have been fitted and one leaf removed from the rear springs The truck has been on club plates for three years. It retains the original wooden tub floor in excellent condition. Some Moon parts have been added including the instrument cluster however many original parts including the original cluster showing the original mileage and working valve radio have been retained. The clutch was recently replaced including master cylinder and the gear box completely rebuilt. The interior is unbelievably clean including the original seat and floor mat. A letter from the second owner details the full history of the truck since new including photographs of the engine rebuild and supercharger fitment. The truck has stainless steel bumpers and fog lamps. This truck is a beautiful reliable truck that is great fun to drive. The 53 F100 was the first F100 and the last of the flatheads. It was the 50th anniversary of Ford and the steering wheel centre cap has a 50th anniversary emblem. The truck was purchased from the second owner in Corsicana Texas.
