This is my 1978 f100 custom XLT. The car has been almost fully restored and customised which has resulted in a very tuff looking truck. Some of the work has has already been done to the the truck is. - A custom built steel tray with ADR approved LED taillights, a secreted tow bar, 6 stainless steel lashing rings, a hinged recessed number plate with gas filler behind, 4 inch custom roll bars and under body tool boxes. - the car has 2 gas tanks hidden in the underbody which is 135lt of gas, they are tested tagged and repainted with backers and shields all fabricated to suit. - the mechanical is, 9inch LSD diff, a C10 auto gearbox, and a 2v 351 cleveland motor set up to run gas (matching numbers), the car also has the brand new Vintage Air Sure fit 2 system including the polished stainless dials, wiring and hoses(heat & cool), brand new transmission cooler and lines, brand new genuine 2 speed BA XR8 falcon thermo fans modified to suit the new 5 core radiator, rebuilt Datsun 260c power steering box and pinion arm conversion, with a later model f series steering column which includes wiper stalk on column, a reconditioned 1995 f350 brake booster with and new master cylinder converted to suit the truck giving it a much stronger brake pedal. The brake lines are also new front to back including soft lines and all fittings. - It has new polyurethane body mounts, dyna matt throughout the car and a brand new rubber kit. - A new 6 piece Dakota digital cluster with module and sensors will also be included. - body work done the the truck is, all badges and XLT moulds removed and holes welded, drip rails removed around doors, barrel locks removed, flattened firewall, skirts are hole free, absolutely rust free, door jams are seam free and door gaps have been closed up nice and tight, extra reo's placed in roof to stop road noise, a Camaro reverse cowl has been modified and fitted to the bonnet, the underbody is sealed then body deadened and also sprayed 2pac gloss black, all bolts and metal component have been zinc plated, outside and engine bay has been painted in PPG X600 Bright Red, it is a very straight body for an f series truck. The car was a complete registered driver before restoration begun so all parts plus more spares are included. I've been building the car for 2 and a half year with no intention to ever sell it thats why so much time and money has already been spent on the car. I haven't been counting dollars because I don't want to know but I've already spent somewhere around $40,000 on the car.
