The Chrysler Imperial, introduced in 1926, was Chrysler's top of the line vehicle for much of its history. Built to compete with Cadillac, Lincoln and Packard, the Imperial was the height of American luxury at the time, and was Chryslers highest priced model. In 1955, the Chrysler name was dropped from these cars, and Imperial was registered as a separate make. Chryslers intention was to create an individual line of luxury cars, distinct from Chrysler branded vehicles. This particular 1963 Imperial Crown is a rare 2-door example, and is in great condition for its age. The bodywork and chrome are in excellent condition, and while the paint is good overall, there are a few small defects throughout. With a small amount of work, this vehicle could be brought to present beautifully. This example runs and drives well, and would make for a perfect weekend driver or club car. This Imperial comes with some receipts for work completed, old registration certificates and a workshop manual. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a rare and collectable piece of American motoring history. Please Note: Odometer in Miles *Test Drive and Viewing by Appointment Only

FOR AUCTION DECEMBER 10th, MELBOURNE, VIC. This striking Limelight Green 1974 Chrysler VJ Valiant Charger XL coupe confirms from its chassis plate that it was originally fitted with a 245 engine (subsequently replaced with another correct unit at some point in time), and automatic transmission with steering column gearshift. The Limelight Green painted body sported the VJ sports package incorporating the black body stripes which were complemented in the cabin with the special instrument cluster and two-spoke steering wheel. Originally it would also have featured option C25, a centre seat and R72, the transistor push button radio. It still sits on its VJ cast alloy road wheels helping provide the aggressive posture so beloved by the many devotees of one of Australia’s iconic muscle cars from the country’s very own Chrysler manufacturing plant. It has been in its current custodianship for eight years. This is an affordable example of the iconic Charger coupe which became so successful on Australian tracks throughout the 1970s.
