The Studebaker Avanti was first release in 1962 as the company’s flagship personal luxury coupe. This GT style model was unlike any model produced in the US at the time and was the first fully fibreglass body to feature a 4 seat floor plan and was described by many critics as one of the automotive industries more significant milestones of the post-war industry. This meant the body was extremely light and when optioned with the Paxton supercharger, it broke 29 speed records at the Bonneville salt flats in 1962. The engine was Studebakers own 4.7L V8 which produced 250bhp and a top speed of 168mp/h. A total of only 5,800 units were produced over their 2 year production run. This vehicle was sold new in the USA and imported to Australia very early in its life in the mid-1960s. It spent most of its life in Newcastle, NSW and was part of the Hunter Studebaker Car Club. It was acquired from the 3rd Australian owner by GCCM in 2015. The previous owners have kept meticulous records of ownership including hand written log books of every time it was driven and receipts for all works carried out. Today it presents in excellent unrestored condition with the original motor and interior. The body received a fresh coat of paint in the late 1990s and has been well cared for since. *Test Drive and Viewing By Appointment Only

!927 Studebaker Erskine Tourer, very rare car, I have never seen one restored in Australia. I bought it to build a hotrod but I just can't do that to such a rare car. Price is fixed as I have been told the car and the collection of parts is worth around $12,000 at least. A lot's and lot's of parts come with this car too many to list or photograph you would need to see for yourself. Any questions give me a call or preferably sms as reception is bad where I live.
