Sixteen and never been kissed? How about 67 and never been kissed! The Gippsland Vehicle Collection’s next feature display is dedicated to vehicles that have had little to no restoration work done on them since the days they were first released from the factory onto the road. From a 1949 James Superluxe autocycle that hasn’t had a scrap of restoration performed on it, to Christine Gibson’s Nissan EXA race car, which was highly modified originally, but has only had the odd scratch repaired since then. A 1908 Renault Model AX that was in the same family for 100 years will also be on show. The vehicle had its engine rebored in 1947, was hand painted and had the seat reupholstered in 1977 but is otherwise maintained in its original glory – the brass isn’t even polished! Come along and see the display, and if you have a vehicle that has barely or never been kissed, bring it along to show in the grounds on the day! In fact, if you have any sort of vehicle that you want to show off, you’re welcome to bring it along. Prizes will be awarded for exhibit of the day and President’s Pick. Food and drinks are available and display vehicles are welcome from 9am onwards. So come along and see a fantastic display of vehicles, both inside the GVC or in the grounds. The ongoing Never Been Kissed display will be on show until November. Ongoing exhibit until 1 November. Gippsland Vehicle Collection, 1A Sale-Maffra Rd, Maffra.
