If you’ve been thinking about buying a Mustang, this Australia Day long weekend may be your perfect opportunity to test drive the latest coupe or convertible, EcoBoost or GT V8 version of the Mustang, thanks to a special promotion hosted by Ford – ‘The Ultimate Mustang Road Trip’.

The promotion will give Mustang enthusiasts in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast the chance to score free two-hour test drives of the latest Mustang around iconic Aussie destinations.
From January 25 – 28, participants can visit three pop-up locations for a test drive on beautiful driving roads, including:
-  Mornington Peninsula in Victoria
-  Northern Beaches in Sydney
-  Coolangatta in Queensland

The Ultimate Mustang Road Trip pop-ups can be found at the following locations:
-  New South Wales: St Ives Showground, 450 Mona Vale Rd, St. Ives, NSW, 2075
-  Victoria: Mount Eliza Secondary College, 204 Canadian Bay Rd, Mount Eliza, VIC, 3930
-  Queensland: Victory Ford, 10-20 Minjungbal Dr, Tweed Heads South, NSW, 2486 (near the Queensland border)

Registration for the test drives opens today – CLICK HERE to register.
Over 380 test drives available, but spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Any Australian licensed driver aged 25 years or older with a full, unrestricted licence is eligible to reserve a vehicle, and can bring up to three passengers along for the test drive.

“The Mustang embodies passion and excitement,” said Graeme Whickman, President and CEO of Ford Australia. “What better way to enjoy the thrill of some of Australia’s most scenic drives than in this symbol of the open road.”

Launching Ford 2nd Car
In conjunction with the Mustang promotion, Ford will also introduce Australians to Ford 2nd Car, a program for eligible new Ford buyers that’ll be launched soon at participating Ford dealers.
2nd Car will give buyers affordable access to a second Ford vehicle, for a fee, for up to two weeks during their first two years of vehicle ownership. Vehicles will be available from participating dealerships around the country, with the fortnight-long exposure to other vehicles in the Ford range hopefully leading customers to purchase those models.
“2nd Car is a global first for Ford, and we’re excited to bring it to Australian customers,” said Christine Wagner, Program Manager, Ford 2nd Car. “We’re always looking for ways to create value for Ford owners and with this program customers can gain flexibility, accessibility – and a whole new experience.”
Initially, the Ford 2nd Car program will be available to new Ranger and Escape buyers aged 25 years and over. Those customers will get the new Mustang as their ‘2nd’ car for a fortnight.
Ford says their goal is to expand this program in the future, so that, eventually, the purchase of any new Ford vehicle will enable access to the entire Ford line up, if you sign up for the 2nd Car program.
