This Nissan powered Commodore is producing 630kw at the wheels. It is good to see a VL taking another path from the norm and hitting the track then the drag strip or show and shine scene.

AVO in Melbourne have produced something different with this VL. The original RB30 block was used but received a nice upgrade to the internals thanks to Carrillo rods and Cp pistons. An RB26 cylinder head was then assembled with Tomei 280 deg camshafts and Ferrea 1mm oversize valves.

A massive Garrett GT42R ball bearing turbocharger has been bolted to the side producing that massive 630 kilowatts on the AVO dyno at the wheels on 30psi boost.

There is a very serious fuel system installed in the boot that makes sure vital fuel is always there when its needed and a dry sump set up.

The suspension and drive line has also had a bit of attention payed to it with a set of custom Koni shock absorbers and a 9 inch Ford diff with a Wave track centre. A set of AP racing brakes manage to pull it up quite nicely.
