Event details

Objective: 1.To celebrate the traditional Australian Ford / Holden rivalry. 2.To engage Ford, Holden and GM vehicle owners in a public display of collectable vehicles 3.To raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Aust. and raise awareness for men's health.   The event will encompass many parts, which will all contribute points toward either Ford or Holden GM’s challenge tally.  The major components will be: Show and shine: Vehicles will compete in decade groups from 1900 through to present day to make up 12 decade groups (e.g. 1920 to 1929 against each other, 1970 to 1979 against each other etc.). Individual trophies will be awarded to the winner of each decade. There also will be a entrant choice award for the overall most popular vehicle, for which an individual trophy will be awarded.  Slot Car Club Challenge: Teams of 6 club members (Ford and Holden/GM) will compete in 6 short races for an aggregate total time, lowest time gives you “pole” position (your choice of lanes) for the major 50 lap endurance race with pit stop.  A trophy will be awarded to the club with fastest aggregate time. Fun & Games: There will also be some fun games between clubs and individuals with the associated points being awarded to the overall total. We are also working on some children’s activities as well. Manufacturers: Points will be awarded for total number of vehicles from each manufacturer and added to the tally.
