Iveco Defence Vehicles has completed delivery of its largest ever order in the UK of 206 6x6 and 8x8 Trakkers to support the Royal Engineers on operations.

 Of these, 182 are 6x6 vehicles run as prime movers in five variants: Medium Dump truck, Self-loading Dump truck, Truck-mounted Dump truck, a Drill rig and a Flushing capping system.

As Iveco had already developed a ballistic steel cab for the Trakker family, the 8x8 Trakker was a natural choice for a fleet of Protected Self-Loading Dump trucks. The protection provided by the steel cab, bar armour and other countermeasures was particularly welcome.
