01/1968 Holden HK Premier 4d Sedan Grecian White 186S 3.0L - Matching Numbers Survivor Car

As the luxury model in the Holden range, the HK Series retained the Premier nameplate as the top-of-the-range luxury model. The flagship HK Premier differentiated itself from other models with a revised roofline and, more noticeably, the dual headlight front. Now one of the most rare and sought-after models, these can be few and far between, particularly in an original matching numbers example, making this example a fantastic base for restoration or a street machine build.
This HK Premier was purchased new at Esmonds Motors Queanbeyan on 30/08/1968, where it remained with the same female owner until around 2011. Ordered new, the car was finished in a simple Grecian white with no vinyl top, optioned black bucket seats, and an optioned 186S Monaro engine with a 2-speed Powerglide column shift transmission. The HK was then purchased by the vendor from the original owner around 2011, due to her deteriorating driving. The HK collected the original owner's carport numerous times on the left side, damage that still remains untouched to this day. The vendor has held the car in a private garage-stored collection since, where it was recently removed to ensure it was in running order to sell, a decision that did not come lightly.
By all accounts, the HK appears to be very, if not completely original, and being inland its entire life has avoided the rust issues often seen with these models. The floors appear solid, with the only signs being the common spare wheel well which is showing signs of rust, and some bubbling at the lower edges of the front quarter guards. Original books and service manuals are included and retained with the car, which confirms the history and matching numbers. This marks a very rare opportunity to secure an original and sought-after Aussie Classic with local history since new.
